Nadia is a self-taught artisan, home designer, and architect . She was driven by a vision for her home with the intention of using it as the platform for her anticipated home design business. However, struggling to find skilled craftsmen willing to execute her meticulous ideas, she took on the challenge herself, and with determination, brought her dream home to life.
After the first few months living in her home, she was in search for an outdoor plant stand but couldn’t find what she had in mind. With left over building material, she made her first outdoor table plant stand which evidently, led to more pieces. She realized using her hands to create as she did throughout her house, was always second nature to her and a forgotten lifelong passion. She changed her business focus in Spring 2024 and Modern Forest Design was born.
Originally from the Boston area, she moved to NYC right after college. She lived there for 17 years working in film and fashion with the last 12 years in the beauty industry. With a life changing event, she permanently moved to the White Mountains in New Hampshire in 2019, a place she spent every summer and winter with her family growing up.
